About Dr. Bryer

I am a general and geriatric psychiatrist in Wilmington, Delaware. I completed psychiatric training at The Johns Hopkins University, as well as a neuropsychiatry research fellowship at Hopkins in 1990. Since then, I have been engaged in the private practice of psychiatry, in both inpatient and outpatient settings, in Wilmington. In addition, I have been Principal Investigator in numerous clinical research studies, Medical Director of Electroconvulsive (ECT) Services at Christiana Care Health System, and have co-authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters on depression following stroke. I have lectured extensively in the community on behalf of various support groups, pharmaceutical companies, and church-sponsored mental health seminars. I am Board Certified in Psychiatry, with Added Qualifications in Geriatric Psychiatry. I live in Chester County, Pennsylvania, with my wife Barbara.
